House of Quiet Layers
Mumbai, Maharashtra
2022
The project
House of Quiet Layers is a 3BHK residence in the eastern suburbs of Mumbai, designed as a calm and contemporary home within the density of the city.
Located on the 14th floor of a high-rise, the apartment is shaped by a restrained palette of warm neutrals, earthy tones and tactile materials.
The design explores the idea of creating depth through subtle layers rather than visual excess. Warm timber, neutral surfaces and soft textures form a quiet backdrop, while carefully introduced accents of olive green and salmon pink bring warmth and personality to the spaces.
The interiors are connected through a consistent material language, while each room carries its own balance of colour, texture and detail. Clean lines and considered furniture placement create a sense of order, allowing the materials and natural light to become an integral part of the experience.
The result is a home that feels warm, understated and personal—contemporary in its expression yet designed to remain timeless beyond changing trends.
